21/5/25 Day One - Analyzing smoke

There is a certain feeling of serenity when I quit smoking.  My breathing is honest.  Not the one influenced by smoke or ash.  I still have trouble breathing fully, but at least I am now smoking without it being layered by smoke.

Nicotine starts leaving your body quickly, but the full withdrawal process takes time. Here’s a general timeline:

  • First 4 hours: You may start feeling cravings as nicotine levels drop.

  • 10 hours: Blood sugar levels adjust, and circulation begins to improve.

  • 24 hours: Nicotine is mostly gone from your system, but withdrawal symptoms intensify.

  • 48 hours: Your body fully eliminates nicotine, and taste and smell begin to improve.

  • 3 days: Cravings start to decrease, but withdrawal symptoms like irritability may persist.

  • 1–3 weeks: Your metabolism stabilizes, and cravings become less frequent.

  • 3 weeks: No traces of nicotine remain in your body.

After this point, the physical dependence is gone, but psychological cravings may linger. Staying active—like your plan to train for Bukit Kiara—can help reinforce your victory over nicotine. 🔥
